What customers say?

“ Despite the £23 to get into the house. The toasties and cream and cheese teas were excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. ”

- Hayden Magill -

“ I love this tea room. It's very quaint and feels like you're stepping back in time! They serve a good range of sandwiches etc but the highlight has to be their delicious range of cakes! The tea served is all loose leaf which is a nice touch The crockery is all mis-matched as it was donated by local volunteers and this adds to the quaint feel of the place. The building itself is beautiful and there is also lots of seating outside. ”

- Anna Champ -

“ Lovely little place, I usually sit outside. Nice old fashioned atmosphere, proper teapots and cups. ”

- LYNDA GALE -

“ You have to pay admission to get here, unlike the main café but it is so much nicer. Sandwiches are freshly made. Wonderful herby sausage rolls. Good selection of tea. Served on vintage crockery. ”

- Christopher Goddard -

“ Very small menu but my daughter had a sausage roll which turned out tasting like stuffing, which she loves, so was very happy. After that she had a gluten free brownie while I enjoyed a pot of tea. It's a lot quieter than the cafe, you almost feel like you're in a library and wlll get told to shush lol. There is an outside area too. The staff were lovely, very polite and I can't fault them. ”

- Cheryl Nicholls -

“ Set in the garden but close to the house, they do an excellent cream tea here There is also a good choice teas, and other drinks from Luscombe. You can sit outside in the garden at the side of the house and enjoy the view. The scones are fresh baked, the crockery is mismatch china. A very restful place to enjoy a sunny afternoon tea after a walk round the house and grounds. ”

- Desmond Cole -

“ Lovely day for a fab stroll around Saltram, followed by scone & tea at the lovely Chapel Tea rooms. Can thoroughly recommend ”

- Lynne Chinnock -

“ This was my first visit to the tea room. The old fashioned vibe was very welcoming. The mismatched crockery while unusual was just right in that setting I was spoilt for choice with the menu. So many lovely cakes. I chose a slice of the coffee and walnut cake. I needed a bag to take half of it home. It was delicious. ”
